Youth camp.

Chronicles. 12:11 AM
Theme: Wonders Beyond Our Galaxy
Venue: El Salvador Beach Resort, Danao City, Cebu
Date: May 25- 28, 2008 (Sunday to Wednesday).

I thank GOD I went to this activity entirely for free. Yeah, Mikko's mom sponsored for me.

By the way, may I mention I do not know how to blog anymore? Really. Let me just post several photos and add captions.

The entire universe can just be measured by the span of GOD's hands. Can you just imagine how tiny the galaxies are? And how big, literally BIG, GOD is! (Excuse the pathetic understatements- I am not sufficed enough of words to describe this properly.)

Anyway, makes you think why GOD greatly cares for us, in lengths the universe cannot measure, that he sends us His one and only Son to the cross- despite our major insignificant existence. Also, makes you ponder upon the fact why we have to study cells and atoms when we ourselves are already microscopic!

Mikko sleeping on the way to the resort. She must've lacked sleep that night.. or she just gets bored on roadtrips. Short roadtrips, I shall say. Danao is not that for from Cebu City, compared to Bantayan or somewhere further. It's just like 30 minutes riding in a fast vehicle.

We just landed by the time this photo was taken.

It was so cool, they used the word landing for the time we arrived. When it's breakfast time- they call it feeding the heavenly bodies.
Snack time- it was Cosmic Picnic! Bwahaha so darn funny.
Lunch- Big Bang Buffet.
If you get the gist, the theme of the camp was Wonders Beyond our Galaxy, so it's quite amusing they put a creative twist to the schedule.

Dr. Omar Franco was the theme speaker. There was one topic when he really got deep into all the science stuff- like prebiotic soup (and I don't know what that is). I didn't really know what he was talking about, but, basically, he was disproving them and making a point that what the Bible says is true. No need to get some of us lifelong Christians into that topic- we believe in Genesis 1 credulously.

(more ramblings and photos)

I AM SO NOT USING MULTIPLY TO HOST MY PHOTOS ANYMORE!! Their service is good but their hosting is quite terrible, your portrait photo simply soon becomes the Multiply logo. .

SO CUTE AND HILARIOUS!!!!

and people would be wondering, what's so cute and hilarious about this logo??!

From what I said- I was reading Twilight. And there's a movie COMING UP!!!! GYAAAAAH!! *fangirly~~~* Although it's scheduled to be released on December 2008. Ha-ha-ha. But I have all the time to read all the books anyway. Though not the money.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as Edward and Bella. I do not know Robert Pattinson, but I think I love him already. Hahaha.

GOD bless you all!

edit:
AND WHAT IS UP WITH THE BROKEN LINKS? I CAN'T READ BEYOND THE ENTRY BREAK!! Every time I click to comment it becomes like this:

NOOO! Hope this will be fixed soon coz I did not do anything to screw this thing up.

the Promised Land.

Chronicles. 11:27 AM
Today is the day I will finally graduate. This had been the day I've been waiting for, for the last ten months, almost eleven. Praise GOD. It's easy to believe it. It's easy to accept that I am graduating coz I am in the situation right now. But if it were ten, nine, eight or especially seven months ago (that was September, my worst month ever), then no, this day should just be a dream.

This is the Promised Land. GOD is truly gracious, I don't understand why. We are over the slavery of term paper, Physics, Doctora (well, almost, really!), and her rantings (those are the "Egypts"). Although we have sinned (yes, inevitably), I am so glad that GOD forgives when we confess our sins to each other and especially to Him. That is the power of His blood. It covers a multitude of sins, His love.

A man can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in his work. This... is from the hand of God, for without Him, who can eat or find enjoyment? Ecc 2: 24- 25. NIV.

The graduates can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction from their high school life. This is from the hand of GOD, for without Him, who can eat or find enjoyment? Ecc 2: 24- 25. COV.

^ Talks in reference to the unofficial graduation ball that will be held tomorrow. I say unofficial, because there can never be such a thing as an official graduation ball. Of course, the school can never sponsor such a thing. They'd be afraid to. BEcause they're... "Christians," and "Christians" can't party. (Wow, I wonder what their religion is??) In my conviction, I can party. I am a Christian, and I party. Not the bar-hopping thing kind of party though.. *sweatdrop* So long as there's free food. For there is nothing better than to eat and drink and enjoy (read: party!). Celebrate!

( EDIT: the GRAD ball! Graduaaateeed already!)

Alright, but life doesn't end there. I know. I know there's gonna be another "Egypt" when I head to college. I know of no one. I don't have any friends to start with. And I'm gonna have Chemistry every day. But I know He is faithful. He is. He will be.

But for this time... I wanna have the summer of my life. I graduated Bethany Christian School. For the first time in my life, I am not gonna be in Bethany anymore. I am going to be in Cebu Doctor's University. I will watch Gokusen right now....~

GOD bless you all! May you find your Promised Lands too! Because GOD is faithful to deliver you!

14th March. 2006? 2007?

Chronicles. 10:55 PM
Here's to Kenneth for another year. Happy birthday, bro. Another... event happened and it was with him again, and on his birthday. This time, I texted him:

"I'm alone eating ice cream tonight. huhuhu." After that he threatened to call my house and so I was up for the challenge and he did really call me. Kenneth, you. Hahaha. March 14th 2007, the first time Kenneth called up my house. Don't call me again, please. I'm not good with telephones.

Rewind exactly one year ago? ONe year agoo...

And that night was when Anne's driver wasn't home (we were having a study party in her house) so he couldn't bring us home, so me, him and Anne slept in the same room. Oops. Anne's grandma caught us and she gave the lecture. We didn't do anything, and it wasn't my idea!!

Well, I'm looking forward till the next trick! And I'M STILL SIXTEEN! OH, LORD! USE UP MY YOUTH AND VIGOR FOR YOUR GLORY!!! lol?

Anime Frenzy - Coz "Life is bee-yu- CHI- furu"

Chronicles. 05:06 PM
Here's another milestone. Everyone's finished reporting with the term paper now. And just what did Madame say back in June when we're done with the term paper? "You're free!" And well, not so much, but it's partly true! Yipee! Praise the Lord, we're finally done! The term-paper-ending-scene wasn't so great, though. Kenly was the last person to report, and we arrived late so practically no one from our class came to watch it. And I thought it would end beautifully. *sob* Oh well, but to end it like that, it's as if we don't deserve something so good after the ordeal of... 8 months! Last year's fourth year batch, when the last researcher finally finished his report (Jerry, that is), Madame stood up and said, "Well, the ordeal is over!" I was really expecting that this year! Arrrrgghh...

What I don't like is.. my class wouldn't have any excuse to use the laptop anymore. BAck then when not everyone was done reporting yet, some people brought laptops so they could work on their Powerpoint Presentation and such. As for me and some people, CD's were brought so we could watch ANIME!! And thus starting another anime phase in the class.

There's been a deluge of anime lately that's been "passed" around. I think it's thanks to Mikko, whose topic is "the effect of anime and cartoons on morals..." and she needed some anime videos for her presentation. It started with Fruits Basket, now there's Full Moon wo Sagashite, uhmm.. wait, I just bought pirated CardCaptor Sakura DVD (pirated CD's are the best!! P160 only!). I borrowed Mahou Sensei Negima, and also the Yakitate!! Japan anime (but the manga is so much better), and OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB is coming soon!! Weee~! Hahaha.. I'm so excited to watch it already! I even made an icon of it already(see usericon). Pierre also downloaded the OVA of Akazukin Chacha (rewind to eight years ago?? Hmmm...), and the complete Season Two of You're Under Arrest!. And maybe somehow I can just hitch in and watch Death Note, I thought it was a funny anime, turned out it was the opposite.

Waaai! I'm failing Physics and Trig class too.. and Chinese. After term paper was over I didn't feel like studying anymore. But anyway, it's something I have to prioritize and must get to studying later, especially Physics (and at least pass for the first time this time).

Actually, ssssshhh, but my classmates are actually having a little "celebration" in Cafe George today for the term paper. I didn't go because my mom had to go to the doctor and I wanted to go with her. And had a haircut in a Korean/Japanese hairstlye salon! Hahah! New hair again, and this summer I'm dyeing it brown and have red highlights.

And these are the days. Tournament is here, go Seniors!!! I'll shoot your every move, and do my duty as your "humble" photographer (hikhik). Oh, wait, we still have the school paper thing to do and I'm part of the staff.. Siiiiigh, got to help others, especially Anne, since I have a really "easy" job: photographer. **busy busy busy** May GOD bless you all!

Here's a new pic I retrieved. Taken last Dec. 15, 2006. CAT in Camp Lapu Lapu.

Here's to my LAST DAY.

Chronicles. 03:28 AM
3: 13 am, up for one sole reason: a final bout of my research paper. I'm gonna be reporting on the 26th Friday, so technically, that's tomorrow! *deep inhale* Never really knew this was actually gonna come.. It's just like saying.. I'm getting married. like saying, "I can't fly," everyday then the next few days you're actually flying. I can feel how cold I am now.

You never know what to expect.

If everyone in our class knew we were going to graduate, it's back to our legion mode again getting into perpetual trouble. However, it had just amazed me that even when the authorities kept telling my class that we couldn't graduate for this-and-that reason, there was this little faith inside. A little faith that not even sound lies can take away. Faith that we'll all walk down that road... ahem, or that stage at least.

But there's still the two months in front of me. Well, that's so much better than back five months ago when we were blissfully proclaiming, "Seven months until we graduate!!" Aaaahk. That was the worse term paper portion in my senior life.

I believe I should be getting back to sleep now? Naaah, maybe not.. I miss those days when I used to not sleep and just study all night for the fun of itt...... zzzzzz...

Worst Christmas is 2006

Chronicles. 07:32 PM
New layout! :p Ahehehe, I'm a very good cheater. But this summer, I'm planning to learn CSS and all those stuff. Along with reading more books and attending more church stuff (told you it's gonna be the summer of my life).

Tuesday, December 26, 2006. This is, so far I can say, the worst Christmas I ever had in my whole life. I'm sick. We're infested with dog fleas. One week vacation (instead of the usual two week). Term paper. It just doesn't feel like Christmas.

Hopefully, tomorrow, I can go to Madame's house (eek!) and talk about the most depressing thing I have ever encountered with my life (uhm, the status of medical transcription education?). Term paper just makes me sad. My brother said that a Bethanian graduate said to him, "Term paper? No one fails in that!" (and the one who said that was the one in class who kept crying over it, just like me). Hahah! Let that be true! Let that be true! Then if I knew right now that I can graduate, I would be blissfully sitting in a soft cushion watching a Koreanovela.

Merry
Christmas!
Enjoy the happiness that was supposed to be mine. Yeah, salvation is here. I know I must be happy. *smile smile*

Here's a very funny spoof video of the first parts of Pokemon. Rated FOUR in Youtube.

High school never ends.

Chronicles. 05:53 PM
It's December 17, 2005, Saturday. I am blissfully sitting on a soft cushion chair watching Full Metal Alchemist. Bliss. Although I do not appeal much to the series, it is true bliss.

That was complete two weeks without classes.

To hell with that typhoon.

Now. December 17, 2006, 17: 44, Sunday. I sit here with problems practically buzzing around my head. Complete schooldays next week. Only one week of vacation. I curse that typhoon that came and "cancelled" the ASEAN Summit. I still curse it. I have been waiting for the one week vacation and on the last minute classes came back to torture me. High school never ends. Vacations do nothing but tantalize me. Only when it got closer then it was moved further.

Still counting the days.

Somedays I wish I died already. I've prayed to GOD to take my life away. I'm tired. But somehow, something within me tells me not to. The Promised Land is so near, yet, the nearer it gets.. it threatens to move further and further.

GOD, give me hope.

Where am I now? I want someone to tell me... "Your problems are nothing, nothing, compared to what I have been through.."

The thought that comforts me now is that time will not stop. And that Jesus is there for me. But when will I feel okay?

Cebu: Typhoon.

Chronicles. 09:27 PM
It's about time for Cebu to have a storm. Well, not that I really want disaster to come, but if there is a typhoon, I notice the whole day's really cold and windy. It's gonna be a jackpot if there's a storm on summer. Well, I hope it doesn't get too hot this summer (wow, wishful thinking...)

This month has been a really different month, with twists and turns for our plans. Or rather, this year. It's all been so different. How different can it get next year? It is my senior year, to add it all up. And for senior year, that's enough to make your whole year different.

Just like last September. My class and I were all preparing for the Teacher's Day Program. Got the whole skit running, costumes prepared, and practiced enough, excited for the big day to come. Because of the whole class' "bad" attitude, the teachers always threatened us that they'll cancel the whole program. As always, we didn't mind that. Until one day, the authorities figured out some of my classmates (including myself) went to a birthday party. And not much really happened on the occasion, it's just your average dinner party. But anyway, the school made a big issue out of it and thought we're out prostituting ourselves and being drunk just because it was already late at night. Well, I guess you just can't stop 16-year-olds from having fun...

Now, this time school authorities really did cancel the program, no kidding. It was such a waste of practice. And it was very last minute, to add to that. Siiiigh~

And this happened again. All right, everyone is so prepared for the ASEAN Summit, and it was just cancelled the LAASST minute! Cancelled due to the typhoon as I have mentioned earlier. It was since last year they've prepared for this. The dry run was a success, hotels were booked (especially Parklane hotel - a hotel that abruptly popped out of nowhere, and nicely constructed, too!), roads painted, replaced ashpalt, closed roads, planned holidays, blah, you name it. The Hand of GOD came. For a really long time the government spent so much time, money and effort on this one and GOD can just cancel it all, or postpone, rather (heard from Jesus Rev).

At least last night was a different night. It was a Jesus Revolution night, and it's been a realllllly long time I haven't jumped around in worship. Hahaha. I came home at 11:30pm already, and our store was already closed. As I opened the gate, I saw something in our garage.

Chippy has been the protagonist of this blog since September 2004. Frequently confused by her age, she shall just identify herself as "anachronic" when asked. She is a Christian belonging in the Protestant denomination. She is also a photography hobbyist; or simply rather, a jack of all trades, master of none. The coolest word that can ever describe her is ambidextrous; and never forgets to include that word in her every "about me"s. She currently (and probably permanently) resides in Cebu with her family, three dogs, and a cat.
